Given that my PC is a little unreliable, I often find myself delving into the process management menu through the trusty Ctrl-Alt-Del comboin Windows.
For some reason, Microsoft chose to omit this feature when they came up with the Windows Mobile platform, but don't worry because ProcessManager is designed to do exactly the same job for you on your Pocket PC.
The free software allows you to view lots of information about the processes that are currently running on your system, and provides you with tools for managing them in order to free up memory space and help your device to run more smoothly.
The main processes menu displays the name of the executable, the process ID and the base address. Perhaps it would have been nice to see the inclusion of the path to the executable added in here, but at least with just three columns of data, the process information is very clearly presented.
ProcessManager has a few innovative features that I've not seen from similar programs before, such as an alert that pops up when your available memory dips below 25%, plus a tool that allows you to schedule process checks on a regular basis.
Killing processes is a simple task and can be done with a single click. Be warned though, you should only really do this if you're confident you know what this process is because you could mess up your system if not, and you won't get much in the way of help from the software to determine if it's safe to kill or not.
If you're constantly blighted by memory issues on your Windows Mobile device, ProcessManager provides an effective way of managing things.
